Interior and Exterior Design
The Hornet lives up to its name, inside and out. The wide stance means the CUV dominates the road. Plus, the black interior with red stitching brings out a hint of menace and excitement. It’s not all about looks, though, as the vehicle’s curves are designed for performance. The Dodge Racetrack LED taillamp with the Dodge logo draws the eye instantly.
Infotainment and Technology
Part of what makes the interior so slick is the futuristic feel and advanced technology. The Uconnect 5 system has five customizable profiles. The 10.25-inch touchscreen gives you access to entertainment, as well as climate control and performance stats. Optional features include an Alexa voice assistant, a 4G hotspot and a wireless smartphone charger. The 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system comes as standard on the GT Plus and can be added to the GT.
Performance
No Dodge Hornet review is complete without mentioning that this model is the most powerful in the CUV class. It’s also the fastest, as it can do 0-96.5 km/h in 6.5 seconds. That’s all down to the 2.0-litre I4 turbo engine and the fact that it’s built for performance. You get 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Sport mode tightens up the steering and provides sharper throttle for an improved performance.
Safety
The Dodge Hornet comes with lane keep assist and forward collision warning. Plus, you can add many other safety features from the wide range available. They include automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. You can also opt for blind spot monitoring, the Park-Sense Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist system and a 360-degree surround view camera.
